Barn Doors

Our doors are built using pine wood. We offer 2 options: Unfinished or Finished. Unfinished doors are rough wood with no stain. This wood might have manufacturing markings from when they were manufactured. Finished doors have been planed, sanded and stained . 

Please understand that pine wood is not perfect. There may be natural blemishes and variations in the wood that are beyond our control, these are not product flaws. These distinctions make your door unique and rustic. For a nominal fee, we also deliver.

Please note that our doors do not come with the tracks and we do not do installations. ​

More than likely the pre-drilled holes on the sliding bar that you purchase will not match your homes existing wall studs. Installation will be difficult because you are limited on amount of studs you can access with the pre-drilled holes of the sliding bar. You need to make sure that all the pre-drilled holes on the sliding bar are properly anchored to a wall stud. To help with installation we can offer you a header piece that matches the color of the door you purchase. This header is placed over your opening and screwed into your existing studs. The more studs you can access with this header will assist in evenly distributing the weight of the door. The sliding bar is now easily installed onto this header and can be aligned properly for your opening.

1. First you measure the width of the opening.
   
2. Then you will add 3" to each side of the opening, adding a total of 6" to the width. This is to insure that the door will cover both the opening and the trim. If the door opening doesn't  have trim, you would still add the 3" so that it covers the opening completely.
   
3. Now you measure the height of the door. First you measure the opening from bottom to top.
   
4. You will add 3" to cover the top trim.
   
5. Now you can tell us what size door you need.

1. How much does a single door weigh? ( A standard door weighs approximately 60 lbs)
2. How long will it take to build? ( We both have fulltime jobs and do our wood projects on our free time. Our turn around time is usually pretty fast building an unfinished door. A finished door takes a little longer. Depending on what other projects we have,I would say a single finished door would take approximately  2 1/2 weeks.)
3. Where do I get the track for the door? (Amazon sells a kit for roughly $65, I prefer the one piece track not the two piece)
